Hall of Fame goings on

Jacquie Phelan will hold a clinic and a discussion at the Hall of Fame this month.

First, Jacquie Phelan will give what she calls a Finesse Clinic.  Co-Ed.

Her description:  Acquire a little finesse: Ms. Phelan will teach her world-renowned Fat Tire Finesse workshop  Saturday morning 10-noon, March 12. Later, at 4PM March 12, legendary mountain bike champion Jacquie Phelan will discuss how emerging bicycle technology in the late 1800s and early 1900s gave women a significant push towards the freedoms that they enjoy today.  Ms. Phelan has written for national and international

Jacquie Phelan & Ottocycling publications and created WOMBATS (Women's Mountain Bike & Tea Society as a response to sexism in her chosen sport.  Babe or bat, age and appearance affect a woman’s cycling experience from the moment she decides to buy a bike. Phelan will share her analysis of the role of the  bicycle in women’s lives over the last 130 years.
