This year there are 16 juniors on the squad and wait for it…3 of them are girls. With a brand new kit design, the Juniors Program continues to grow in leaps and bounds!

To start the season off, the Juniors are attending racing clinics and mock races that are held in Fremont every Sunday during the month of January.  This is a unique Northern California program that offers the opportunity for the Juniors to learn new skills and sharpen old ones. Eleven juniors made the trip to the first clinic. They were nervous but excited and the drive down was rather quiet.  The squad had a great time and learned something new. The drive back was quite different with lots of talking, laughing and joking. All were anticipating the next clinic.

It is still early, but the Juniors have already displayed that they are confident in themselves, eager to learn new skills and love to race bikes.  The future of cycling is in these kids. Thanks to the Davis Bike Club for their continued support of our juniors.
