A variety of tours from other clubs are being offered. Here are a few that might be of interest.

SATURDAY, JUNE 25, 2011: THE GRAND TOUR

This Los Angeles Wheelmen ride celebrates its 53st year in 2011. Rides start in Malibu and go north as far as Moorpark, Ojai, or the Gaviota Pass, depending upon your appetite for long distances.  

Double Metric Century, 124 miles. A bit hilly only at the start. Double Century, 200 miles. Lowland or Highland routes. Triple Century, 300 miles. Lowland or Highland routes. Finish the Triple and still have energy to burn? Add another 100-mile loop for the Quadruple Century, 400 miles, and lifelong bragging rights!  

Full support, rest stops, sags, and BBQ at the finish. The Grand Tour, by the Los Angeles Wheelmen Bicycle Club, is a California Triple Crown ride for distances of 200 miles or more. For California Triple Crown info: http://www.caltriplecrown.com/

SATURDAY, APRIL 30:  CRUISIN THE CONEJO  --  Conejo Valley Cyclists puts on this charity event, starting in Thousand Oaks, with six ride choices including two metrics and a full century. Full sag support, rest stops, lunch and bike expo after the ride. http://www.cvcbike.org/?page_id=35

MAY 27 TO 30:  GREAT WESTERN BICYCLE RALLY  --  Memorial Day Weekend, Friday through Monday, in Paso Robles.     Bicycle heaven, a family-friendly event with something for everyone. Rides every day from 5 to 100 miles. Social activities and competitions, kids' activities, vendor market place, bike show, BBQ, goodie bag and door prizes. And of course, theres the pleasure of taking a few days off in scenic Paso Robles, with its Victorian homes, surrounded by rolling countryside, wineries, and ranches. http://GreatWesternBicycleRally.com

SATURDAY, JUNE 4:  OJAI VALLEY CENTURY  --  Centuries, Half, Full, Metric, Double Metric, and Hammerhead Centuries. Full support and sags, rest/food stops, lunch in Ventura, ice cream at the finish. http://www.ojaivalleycentury.org

SATURDAY, JUNE 11:  RIDE AROUND THE BEAR  --  The Orange County Wheelmen put on one of the most difficult centuries in the country -- NOT for beginners. The good news:  ride ends with nearly 40 miles down 7000 feet from Onyx Summit to Redlands. The bad news: You gotta climb up there first. SATURDAY, JUNE 11:  HAYFORK CENTURY  --  NOCAL not SOCAL, but with great scenery in Trinity County. Sponsored by the Hayfork Rotary Club. A figure-eight course allows you to choose your distance, from the Family Fun 16-miler to 115 miles and 9,000 ft. of elevation gain. http://www.hayforkcentury.com

SATURDAY, JULY 16:  WINDMILL CENTURY  --  Tailwinds Bicycle Club offers a full century, metric century, and a 40-mile ride, starting in Los Alamos and touring the scenic canyons, rangelands, and vineyards of northern Santa Barbara County. SATURDAY, AUGUST 20:  COOL BREEZE CENTURY  --  Channel Islands Bicycle Club starts from Ventura with a choice of routes. They range from a 38-mile flat coastal cruise, to 63, and 102, and the very challenging 125-mile/200k brevet to Ojai and the Casitas Pass.
