This year is my third year as DBC President and my sixth year and final year on the Board of Directors.  I have thoroughly enjoyed serving on the Board and helping to keep the club healthy and vibrant.  The club depends entirely on volunteers to keep going and to continue to provide a variety of cycling opportunities to the community.  We get to see many volunteers on major events like the DC, Foxy, and the Criterium.   The Board does not have the same visibility but the Directors are working year-round in the background to keep the club running smoothly.  They all deserve our thanks and appreciation.

The new slate of Directors of 2012 will be announced soon and the vote will take place at the annual club meeting in December.  It will be a time to thank the 2011 Board of Directors for their work and to enjoy a meal and a good time with fellow DBCers.  And, there will the annual party favor for all members (the latest model of DBC official socks!).  I hope you will join us for the event.
