Check-in is located near the Big 5 Sporting Goods Store on the east side of the shopping center.
The route heads east across the Yolo Causeway and through West Sacramento. Just beyond Old Town Sacramento it links up with the famous American River Bike Trail, a well-paved scenic path that you'll follow to Auburn, the historic center of California's Gold Country. After obtaining a receipt at a local establishment, you'll descend out of the Sierra Nevada foothills and back along the same route to Davis.
