Dunlap Memorial Time Trial; Fourth of July Criterium

Wienker breakThe DBC Race Team hosts two races every year:

The Dunlap Time Trial is a memorial to Steve Dunlap, an inspirational DBC racer who tragically died in August 1991 from complications with asthma at a young age. This race raises money for the promotion of Junior racing within the Davis Bike Club. The proceeds of this event provide for coaching, equipment, and other expenses to assist local youth in their quest to succeed in cycling. The race has been run on a number of different courses over the years. Since 2008 the event has been held in South Davis and uses the Yolo County Grasslands Park as its home base and starting point.

The Fourth of July Criterium can legitimately be called a "classic" race - a Northern California institution started in 1976. The event features all day racing in downtown Davis for most categories, including a kid’s fun race. This race includes a generous prize list and is known for its technical eight-corner course. Past winners include Greg Lemond, Mike Sayers, Dave McCook, and Nathan Dahlberg.
