Nov 8 is the US Bicycling Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Along with the Ceremony proper, several other events will be taking place:

Saturday morning is a History symposium, led by Peter Rich

of Velo Sport Berkeley. He’s done this for about 5 years now and each one has been very well attended and enjoyed. Unfortunately, I’ve always been busy with other things and have not attended. City Council Chambers, starting at 8AM.  http://www.usbhof.org/events/event/29-history-symposium

Also Saturday morning is a Women’s Cycling event presented by Robin Farina.  IIRC, this is year 2 for this event.  Held at the USBHOF, 3rd and B st, starts at 10AM, runs til noon.

Saturday afternoon leisurely ride with George Mount.  Hall of Fame Inductee George Mount will be leading folks to Winters for a leisurely chat and  ride.  In Winters, a light snack will be provided by the Davis Bike Club.  Ride leaves the USBHOF at 1PM.

Saturday evening is the main event:  The 28th Annual Induction Ceremony

Inga Thompson, Sara Balantyne, Jerry Casale Jr and Charles Winter

Last, we have some interesting items up for auction, including the Amgen Tour of California VIP car ride package.  I won this last year and it was fabulous!  Ride along in an Amgen car on the race course during the race and then watch the finish in the VIP stands.
