Cherry Pie, February 5, 2012
The day after Knights Ferry, a contingent of DBCRT riders arrived for the Cherry Pie Criterium in Napa on course that featured both hills and technical turns.

The Juniors were particularly well represented again with 10 teammate present. Annie Darst entered her first Women’s 15-18 Junior race and placed 7th. Kyle Fiori rode a strong race to finish 9th in the Men’s 13-14 category and Alexander Freund continued his outstanding early season with a 4th place in the Men’s 17-18 race. Top honors and a Cherry Pie went to Kennedy Hill taking first place in the Women’s 10-12 category.

The older DBCRT members also had a number of good showings. Ryan Odell finished 6th in the Elite 4 race earning him upgrade points that should allow him to move up to the Elite 3 category. Jeff Schaller continued his early season success coming from 10th wheel to finish 7th at the line.
