Yolo County Visitors Bureau Website Introduces Bike Rides Listings

— filed under:

The Yolo County Visitors Bureau has a new page on its popular website, all about bike rides. Specifically, the new page offers some 20 bike rides, offering all kinds of routes including Davis, Winters, Woodland, Clarksburg, the Capay Valley, and beyond.

The new page provides a brief description of each ride and has links to maps, cue sheets, and elevation profiles. They were developed by the Davis Bike Club. The YCVB collaborated with the DBC to pick the routes. They will also collaborate in the future on other routes to include, as well as incorporate more visitor information, such as places of interest, restaurants, wineries, and other attractions.

“Most of these rides start in Davis or Winters, where interest in bicycling is very keen, and we made a point to select rides for all skill levels, whether you are a novice out for fun or a serious cyclist looking for good training rides,” says Alan Humason, Executive Director of the YCVB. “We also intend to add routes from events that are held in our area, such as the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame Gran Fondo, the LiveStrong Challenge, and the Davis Double Century,” he adds.

To find the new page, go to the YCVB website at www.yolocvb.org . Click on the Activities heading at the top of the home page, then click on Bike Rides. Or click on the following link: http://www.yolocvb.net/bike-rides.html/ . The page was developed by web master Heloisa Kinder, owner of A.K. Atelier, a graphics design firm based in Davis.

The Yolo County Visitors Bureau works to encourage visitation to the communities of Davis, Winters, and Woodland and the outlying areas of Yolo County. The YCVB also works closely with UC Davis as well as other civic and promotional agencies. For more information, call (530) 297-1900 or visit the website at www.yolocvb.org .
