Snelling Road Race

The Snelling Road Race is one of the early season classics of Northern California with a. 11.7 mile circuit with rolling hills just east of Turlock. The weather is typically unpredictable for a late February race, ranging from warm and dry to cold and damp. This year it was dry but the strong winds played havoc on all fields.

White Brothers Heat Up Arizona Again

Just a few weeks after competing in the Valley of the Sun Stage Race in Phoenix, the White brothers, Greg and Russ, returned to the Grand Canyon State to contest the Tuscon Bicycle Classic Stage Race over the March 2-4 weekend.

The Yolo County Visitors Bureau has a new page on its popular website, all about bike rides. Specifically, the new page offers some 20 bike rides, offering all kinds of routes including Davis, Winters, Woodland, Clarksburg, the Capay Valley, and beyond.

April Bike Rodeos

Here's a chance to help elementary school students become better bike riders. The rodeos include helmet adjustments, bike mechanical checks and adjustments, informational handouts and riding instruction.

ALS Ride

The ALS Association, California Chapters are currently planning their 8th Annual Ride to Defeat ALS for Saturday, June 30, 2012. This fully supported Centurion cycling event includes something for everyone, including a 10 mile family ride, 25, 60 and a 100 mile ride through the picturesque town of Napa, CA.

3-foot passing bill returns

As most of you know, we've reintroduced our 3-foot-passing legislation. Senate Bill 1464, once again authored by Long Beach Sen. Alan Lowenthal, was introduced in February. On Tues., April 17, SB 1464 will be heard in the Senate Transportation & Housing Committee, its first hearing.
