600k Brevet

Dates: Friday-Sunday, June 5-7th , 2009

The 600k brevet follows the first quarter of the 2009 Gold Rush Randonnee route.  From Davis, the route heads north past Woodland and Yolo, then east to Knights Landing, northeast to Oroville, the Feather River Canyon, then to the turn-around in Taylorsville.  The inbound leg retraces the outbound route.

Please be aware of the following. 

•  This is a night time start (8:00pm) so have lights and reflective gear on at the start. Be prepared to ride through or into two nights. 
• You may bring one small drop bag which will go to the control at Tobin Resort. Bring your bag to the start. Be sure to label your bag with your name, address, and telephone number. Your bag may not make it back to the finish before you finish. We will not ship the bag to you, so you will need to wait at or return to the finish for it to arrive. 
• As with all Brevets, ride safely, observe California traffic laws, and do not obstruct traffic. 
• Check-in begins at 7:00pm. This year's 600 km brevet will follow the GRR route before turning back to Davis at the 300 km mark at Taylorsville Grange. The actual route may deviate somewhat from the GRR. 

This information will also be available at the Start/Finish of all rides. Additional last minute course information will be announced at the rider meeting held 5 minutes before the start of each brevet. Course marshals will be present to look after the riders on all brevets.
