Ride of Silence

The Ride of Silence, Davis edition

Ride of Silence
The purpose of the Ride of Silence

is to remember and honor all cyclists who have been killed or injured while sharing the road with motorized vehicles.  This is a free ride that welcomes cyclists of all ages and abilities (helmets are required).

The Davis Ride of Silence procession will leave the Veterans Memorial Center parking lot (203 E 14th St) at precisely 7 pm on Wednesday, May 21.  We will follow an 8-mile route throughout Davis, traveling at no more than 12 mph. This year for the first time, thanks to the support of the DBC, we will be accompanied by police officers who will close the intersections so we can roll through uninterrupted. After rolling out, the ride is a time for complete silence, but afterwards we will be able to visit and share stories and memories over refreshments at the US Bicycling Hall of Fame, where the ride will end. Please visit our Facebook page for information and updates.  There's also an informational page on the DBC website.
