The Sunday Morning No Drop is a great ride for both the beginner and the advanced cyclist, be it for endurance or recovery. This is a casual ride to Winters via County Road 29 and Buckeye Road, with very few cars. In Winters, we regroup for coffee and food at Steady Eddy's to socialize.
Options also include a loop around Lake Solano, for the cyclists who want to do a longer ride. The pace of some may increase over 16mph, but no one will be left behind.
The group may break up somewhat before heading back to Davis via Putah Creek Road and the Russell bike path. Some riders may choose to stop at Lester Farms Bakery. Lester Farms is located on Railroad Avenue three blocks north of Steady Eddy's.
We are comprised of a wide range of personalities and cycling abilities, and always welcome a new rider. If you are new to moderate paced, 30 mile rides, please let the leader know so that he may accompany you to help finish the ride!
Ride start location: east side of office buildings at 2062 John Jones Road just north of Starbucks in West Davis. The east side of the buildings face the freeway, with a small parking lot.
Ride start time is 10am from mid-October to late April, then 9am beginning in May.
